Privacy Policy
Updated: 03/27/2025
The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you about how Bridgit Social uses your personal data. We recommend that you read it carefully.
For the purposes of this document, the following terms shall be defined as follows:
Application: Refers to the mobile application known as Bridgit Social, available for download on the Apple App Store.
Bridgit Group LLC: The legal entity under which Bridgit Social operates, incorporated in the State of New Jersey, United States.
Bridgit: Also referred to as “Bridge It!”, the term describes the purpose of the platform as a digital bridge facilitating spontaneous, goal-driven connections between Users, and bridging the gap between online engagement and in-person interaction.
Terms (TOU): Refers to these Terms of Use governing the use of the Application and related Services.
User: Any individual who has registered for an Account and utilizes any features or Services offered through the Application.
User Details: Information voluntarily provided by a User, including but not limited to interests, professional background, and preferences. Certain details, such as age and residential area, may be optionally concealed at the User’s discretion.
Geographical Position: The User’s location, which is recorded and regularly updated when the geolocation feature is enabled. A User’s geographical position is not shared with other Users unless the “Start Networking” feature is activated.
Start Networking: The initiation of a User’s networking experience within the Application. Upon activation, the User becomes visible to and can engage with other Users based on their availability and visibility settings, as defined during registration or as updated by the User.
Same Place Option: A feature that designates when two Users are located in the exact same physical place. This is recorded if the User enables geolocation and selects the specific place within the Application. The system then verifies that the User is physically present at the selected location, enabling other Users to confirm their presence.
Proximity/Search Within Walking Distance Option: A feature that identifies Users who are geographically close to one another—within walking distance—but not necessarily located at the exact same place.
Walking Distance: Defined as the maximum distance between two Users such that an in-person meeting can occur within approximately 10 minutes of walking. This distance is calculated as up to one mile in both densely populated and less dense areas.
Map: A feature that displays other Users located within the same physical area or within walking distance, once the “Start Networking” feature is enabled. The Map also presents general anonymized statistics regarding nearby Users.
Hide Profile: A User-initiated action indicating disinterest in another User’s profile. Once a profile is hidden, it will no longer appear on the other party’s Home screen. However, the hidden User remains anonymously reflected in Map statistics.
Mark to Meet: An action taken by a User to express interest in meeting another User. An optional note may be attached, specifying the meeting’s purpose, proposed location, or any initial message. This action notifies the recipient and makes their profile visible to the initiating User. The initiating User’s identity remains anonymous until mutual interest is confirmed. Upon mutual interest, a “Match” is formed, moving both Users’ profiles to the Matched page and enabling limited communication and profile visibility, as long as both remain within the proximity threshold.
Mark Notes: A limited communication function available after a Match has been established. Users may send brief messages, with only the most recent note from each side retained. Older notes are overwritten and not stored, although message logs may be retained temporarily for compliance or legal purposes. If a Match is not established and the other User exits the proximity area, the User may Archive or Unmark the other profile, after which full profile access is no longer available unless an in-person meeting is confirmed by both parties.
Connection: An interaction that results from mutual interest between two Users, allowing them to communicate within the Application.
Matches: After forming a Match, Users may either retain the connection—allowing continued communication—or Archive the profile. Archiving a profile mutes the User and prevents future messages from being received.
Ready to Meet: A feature allowing matched Users to notify each other of their readiness to meet in person. If one User changes location beyond the proximity threshold, the notification will expire, and profile visibility will be disabled unless both parties return to proximity.
Meeting Happened: Keep or Archive a Profile A confirmation feature allowing Users to acknowledge an in-person meeting through the Application. Users may then record private notes related to the meeting. Confirmed meetings move profiles from the Matched list to the Met In-Person list. Users retain the option to archive or restrict access to these connections.
Met In-Person: A section where profiles of Users who have confirmed in-person meetings are accessible. Users may review or edit notes, or choose to archive, block, or report the other User to limit further access or interaction.
Note After Meeting: A private note-taking feature allowing Users to record key takeaways or contact details after an in-person meeting. These notes are stored privately and are not shared with the other User.
Profile Photo: A mandatory image attached to a User’s profile, which must clearly display the User’s face. Non-face images are not permitted. Currently, no photo verification system is in place; the Application relies on Users’ good faith to upload accurate images.
Services: The collective suite of features and functionalities—both complimentary and paid—offered by Bridgit Social to facilitate in-person, real-time personal and professional connections.
Premium Membership: A subscription-based service granting Users access to advanced features and enhanced functionality within the Application.
Account: A registered User’s individual profile granting access to the Application and its Services. Each User is permitted to maintain only one active Account at any given time.

Bridgit Social is not responsible for information that you choose to make public on your profile. However, information not marked as ‘public’ will remain hidden from other Users unless you explicitly make it visible.
We collect and process the following data directly from you during registration and through your interactions with Bridgit Social:
To create an Account and access our Services, you must provide the following basic data:
This information is shared at your discretion and is your sole responsibility. Bridgit Social may use information as part of the verification process.
Additional details may be required depending on how you register:
If you decline the geolocation feature during registration, Bridgit Social will use your city name entered during the account sign up, where you live, to suggest potential connections near you.
You can add optional data to improve your profile and increase visibility to other Users. Optional information includes:
This information is shared at your discretion and is your sole responsibility. These information can be updated or removed anytime through your profile settings.
Bridgit Social does not encourage sharing sensitive data, such as racial or ethnic origins, political opinions, religious beliefs, or health-related details. If you choose to include sensitive data, it is considered voluntarily made public and subject to Bridgit Social’s Terms of Use and GDPR compliance.
When you interact with Bridgit Social, contact our customer or support services, report an issue with our services, ask for help, exercise your personal data rights, or participate in promotional activities, competitions or surveys, when you share your experience of our services, give testimonies, or answer one of our questionnaires, Bridgit Social will collect additional data, including but not limited to:
This data is collected to address support needs, improve services, and ensure compliance with Bridgit Social’s Terms of Use.
When you use our services and features, we collect information on your activities on the Application:
When you access our Services and use the Application and its features, information on the way you use them is collected and processed. Most of the information collected by Bridgit Social is necessary to the provision of its Services. Without this data Bridgit Social cannot supply the Services linked to the Bridgit Social application.
More specifically, this includes your registration date, login dates, on or availability/visibility status, the type and number of interactions with other Users (such as Requests, Same Place, and messages), with the third-party accounts connected to your Account (such as LinkedIn, Google or Apple), or the number of transactions made (purchases of Requests, Places, subscriptions), notifications received and notification preferences.
The Application’s main value and purpose is to allow Users to find other Users they have or may have shared the same place or proximity with. Your Geographical position is collected with your express consent only. In fact, you will be asked to authorize the collection and processing of your location data to allow Bridgit Social to identify your shared places with other Users who have agreed to be geolocated.
Unless you have chosen stricter settings on your device, Bridgit Social will collect your Geographical position regularly.
When the Geographical positions of two Users are within a certain radius (identified as within a walking distance), or two Users specifically select the same place in their same place option, Bridgit Social pinpoints the Same Place, or Proximity.
These points won’t be displayed on your profile, but only the Users with whom you share the same place with can know your exact location. Each User sees his/her location when the same place point was registered, or when within a proximity which is in a radius defined by Bridgit Social. Other users can see the other User’s location only if they make themself visible to other users, either in the same place option or proximity case.
During your registration, if you do not provide your consent for geolocation, you must provide the name of your city. This information will enable Bridgit Social to suggest profiles of Users near you (either in the same place if in a public place, or within walking distance/proximity) whom they chose to make themselves visible to you.
These same place or proximity points can be displayed on a Map. However, depending on whether you chose to become visible or invisible, your profile’s visibility is set. In case of the invisibility, your profile is hidden, but your location is being shown in the map as anonymous, so that other users would see the statistics and the possibility of meeting, in case you decided to make yourself visible to selectively.
You may, at any time, withdraw your consent by disabling geolocation on your smartphone. If you choose to do so, your map and home will no longer be updated, and you will not be able to see who you have common points (either same place or proximity) with after disabling the geolocation option. When you have no more profiles in your home page, we will ask you the name of your city in order to suggest new users profiles near you.
You can also ask that your profile, and therefore your common points (same place or proximity), are no longer displayed on the Map (Mapping). In this case, you will only appear in the home page of other Users. Equally, you will no longer be able to see the profiles of Users you have common points with on the Map (Mapping); you will only see these profiles on your home page. For this, go to the application and click on “You” then go to the bottom of your screen and disable the option “visibility”.
Messages are sent and stored on Bridgit Social’s servers, to provide the Service to allow Users with a match to have a conversation or when a User uses the Mark to keep the connection after the real-life meeting. Messages are strictly private and only implicate the Users involved. Bridgit Social’s authorized managers do not exercise any rights to view these conversations. These Messages are not transmitted or communicated to third parties except in cases of judicial requests, and/or in compliance with the applicable legislative or regulatory provisions. Moreover, Messages are strictly private and are not accessible to other Users who are not involved in the conversation, nor to any third party.
If you wish to Mark a meetup that happened in real-life using Bridgit Social, you can mark that connection as either to keep or archive. Also, for your own reference, as well as keeping records in the app to help in suggesting tailored to your interests and goals, you can use the free text after meetup note to record how things went.
The Application lets you set preferences by gender, vicinity type, either same place or in proximity, industry, occupation, sorting preferences. You can change these settings in the Application and specify the preferences, after agreeing to Bridgit Social collecting and processing your data, the gender of people you are looking for, so you can be matched exclusively with profiles you come across in the same place or in proximity with and who meet your search criteria. You will then only see those User and who share your search preferences on your Home page and Map.
